Election Blues?
Being Present In The Moment
Today, we are assaulted by fears, trumpeted by newspapers, and heralded by media personalities. We are physically exhausted by the need to change, pushed to perform at all hours, and feel crushed by the obstacles occurring for us in our lives and country. We are simply tired of others pushing our buttons. The more we react to the world’s banter, the more we are caught in the fears. desires, and the games of our outer power. Not buying into the media dialogues lets us define our lives on our own terms. Not reacting is the gift of personality indifference. Paying attention to our energy, time, and space helps us maintain our presence and balance. Relaxation rejuvenates us. This is the gift of creative responsiveness. It allows us to work on our own timeframe.
Want to engage in greater stillness, solitude and silence in your own space? It is these elements that permit us to separate ourselves from our personality. These three qualities bring quiet to our personality reactions so we can neutralize distractions. The more creative unity we manifest, the stronger our autonomous Aliveness, where we can gather our resources to pick and choose what we engage. We also do not want to oppose directly, for this also allows them to define and frame the problem that we are solving. Creative individuals use unpredictability to propose solutions that bypass polarization. Reactions to problems that others create just give them what they want, more unconscious resistance and repulsion, so they can make the impact they seek. Third, we cannot win agreement by outshouting others; we need to use time and anticipate the response of people to predict possible mutual solutions.
The solution to the world’s problems is greater consciousness, not more objectification, subjectification and idealization. While this process can seem slow and far away, just a few can guide the way for a greater transformation. We need to learn how to be present in the moment, so we do not hold on to idealized futures. This requires us to see and accept the paradox of our perfection as we are and as we can be. Since Projections cement us in our personality reactions, we need to accept that it is not our business to challenge the projections of others, for the truth will eventually be revealed. By letting our Passionate Indifference emerge, we always have possibilities to choose. Join us in this one-night exploration to build greater reliance and self-knowing, so we respond effectively.
