This course will awaken us to how Creative Self-denial becomes an obstacle to our expression in life. The more we are disconnected from our Authentic Self, the more we will see our self act with mixed or lower motives. Without the alignment of others, this Self-denial becomes a mutual denial, guaranteeing that we will not accomplish our intentions. For every motive response or reaction, we have the opportunity to embrace others and their Motive or be repulsed by it. Honoring others, however they are expressing their motives is the first step to conscious creative connections with others. Unless we are able to accept and love others as they are — there is little possibility of mutual growth and development. Our ability to support others is limited by our self-judgments, which produce our repulsions. Recognizing and acknowledging our own motives (however compromised they are) provides the key to creating harmony with others. As we Co-Create with common Intuitive Motives, synergy leads to greater productivity and more aligned manifestations. Learning to meet each other in higher motives opens up a whole new world of opportunities.
In this course we will learn how to become conscious of Motives so that we can honor and meet others where they are, without denying our own creative nature. We will define and clarify the 12 possible motives and explain how these Motives represent a level of conscious attainment within our Self. Each night, we will cover different groups motives, and through examples provided by the TV program Outlander, identify how we can see this Motive in play. Participants are also invited to submit celebrities’ pictures so their motives can be identified. We will also practice recognizing each Motive within ourselves, as well as neutralizing any use of this Motive against us. Seducers use lower motives to sow self-doubt, pandering to our dis-possessed or denied desires/sensations as a way to increase their influence. When we become clear about how motives can be mis-used to control us, we are no longer are able to be seduced or tempted. This course will clarify these “denial of power” issues.
Since Motives in most individuals are temporary and transitory in nature, they can shift quickly. This means that we have to be alert, present and vigilant to recognize them. While most people have certain set points that reflect our habitual ways of operating, we want to learn to stretch our self to be more inclusive, transparent and open in our use of Motives. Those of us on the Path of Autonomy will be able to recognize and intuitively know the Motive frameworks of others. Join us in exploring the world of motivations, so we will become more conscious Co-Creators with our partners.
